Solid hardwood flooring is one of the best options for beauty and elegance. Given its beauty, solid hardwood flooring is best-used in the most lived-in rooms of the house, but isn’t suitable for bathrooms or kitchens. Unfinished hardwood allows you to take nature’s design and make it your own. Professioanlly finishing solid hardwood, allows you to customize these wood floors with your choice of stain, or features like borders, inlays, and other details you won’t find within a factory-finished floor.
Improve the Look of Your Hardwood Floors
Hardwood flooring of any type or finish will need to be recoated
at some point in its lifetime. Whether a wood or bamboo floor
is site-finished or prefinished from the factory, years of foot
traffic, pet scratches, sunlight, routine maintenance and other
influences will reduce the floor’s overall gloss and appearance.
Some hardwood floors cannot be sanded, such as engineered
wood floors that lack the surface veneer to accommodate the
sanding process. Hand-scraped wood floors, as well, would
lose their hard-earned texturing if the floor were to be sanded
completely flat.
